Some of the best deer hunting in Louisiana happens inside the Mississippi River Levee. This 198-acre tract is no exception. Deer numbers and quality are very good. Deer travel up and down the country on the unprotected side of the River Levee. This tract does not border the actual Miss. River channel but borders Old River, straight across from Glasscock Island, one of the most famous deer hunting locations in the state. Roseland, another storied location, is within sight. Duck hunting can be as good as it gets and there is plenty of water for both ducks and fish. When water is moving in or out of the borrow pits the fishing gets outstanding. There is a control structure to hold water put in place by NRCS thru the WRP program. Everyone wants to know the water levels going in. The north ramp to the high ground on the Old River goes under at 35"" at Natchez and 39 "" covers the south ramp. The entire tract is covered at 49'. Come take a look. It's a jewel!
